Having coached Hundreds of business executives and business professionals, we have observed consistent patterns for success. We have come to realize that human behavior is very predictable and manageable. The reasons many people remain stuck, have plateaued or not achieved the business or life they desire is due to a developed mindset that is holding them back. The stories that we tell ourselves are the only truths we have to operate from.
There is a paradigm called “The Cycle of Causation,” which is a loop that creates a pattern of behavior. What we tell ourselves is our truth and that truth is nothing more than a belief. It is our subconscious programming that dictates how these beliefs come about.
The experiences that we have had influence our self-image. Every moment of life is a learning experience. One’s interpretation of an experience influences the degree of fear or level of confidence one has in their operating system. We call this the “self-image continuum”. Our progress toward goals or our limiting beliefs are a result of our interpretation of these experiences. The self image continuum spans from fear to confidence. Your position on this continuum colors how you view yourself, your expectations and behaviors. This perception now influences the beliefs that you tell yourself. This then becomes your truth. It is these beliefs that impact one’s results in business and life. The cycle loops back and continues on.
Knowing all this is of no use unless we understand that we are seeking different results and that the only way to get different results is by employing different interpretations and therefore different behaviors. This includes mindset and language. So instead of seeing this as a problem, we must come up with solutions that are in line with our purpose and objective.
One’s language reveals the operating thoughts that they are working with. By making one aware of the words that they are using and offering different scenarios to getting what they want language, behavior, perception and beliefs begin to change. These changes channeled properly will result in achieving more successful results.[styled_box title=”” color=”white”]
